I wonder, we hear a lot about paint these days. I would be as so bold to say at no other point in history has paint been such a topic of conversation it really is the new black, I mean rock and roll, I mean , well I dont know what I mean, I’m confused now, what I’m trying to say is… paint is MASSIVE.
More than just paint it’s the brand of paint that is all important it seems to me , Farrow and Ball, definitely, Little Green, yes lovely, Fired Earth , ohh very bohemian, Valspar, what, ewwh, really, never heard of it . Well I’ve heard of it but isn’t it a bit… well … let’s say main stream.
Just hold on to your paint charts. I’ve recently had this very conversation with myself, but due to budget, and availability on a bank holiday weekend, I was convinced by Mr Fig aka Kevin to have a look at what B&Q had to offer. Under duress and nearly breaking out in a cold sweat I ventured in, not expecting much all. Well I was really surprised; the choice of colours was amazing, lovely rich midnight blues, dark dark mossy greens, amazing dark aubergines.
So off we toddled paint in hand, now this paint is for my new photographic studio. As previously discussed I’ve decided to take my own photos of my products for my online emporium of all things amazing (shop to me and you).
The finished result was really quite good, dark and very matt with excellent coverage.
So to bring me back to my opening question, can you be a paint snob? Well the answer is yes, but I think in the future I will definitely be a little more open minded, but only a little mind.
